In my work I am drawn to natural gemstones and cultured fresh water pearls. The color, texture, and arrangement of the stones; the use of other natural components in the work; the combinations of light and shade – all of these unique features are decided individually for each piece as I design it.

I want to call my jewelry work elegant and stylish.

If I had to try to describe my work in general terms, I would say that the effects I try to achieve are playful, light, graceful, often subtle, at times tender, at others slightly austere.

Often, I try to combine very different textures in ways that create both surprise and recognition while never losing the authenticity and aesthetic honesty that I feel is critical to all art.

I think it is true to say that because of the time and attention I give each piece, each of them carries with it a part of my personality.

I have been living in the Washington, DC area for almost 25 years.  My work has been featured at local stores, boutiques, and galleries in Maryland and the District.
